23

Identification

U of S affiliation at enlistment: had degree or certificate
Killed, died or wounded: wounded
College Building memorial: Second floor, southwest
Slide number(s): HR-2057, HR-2059, HR-2060
Notes: Identified as John Angus Reid (reg. no. 314261) in 1928 roll of service. Therefore information about John Alexander Reid's military service (including wound) likely incorrect. Obituary in Alberta Law Quarterly indicates that he first enlisted in the Army Medical Corps and then transferred to the Royal Air Force. College Building roll of honour indicates "CFA", which matches roll of service.

1928 list = "List of Students who enlisted during the Great War," U of S Archives. The list was completed after F. Underhill went to the University of Toronto in 1927; probably in conjunction with the Memorial Gates. Some of the addresses may be from an earlier date.
